What curriculum do you use?
Our certified tutors and instructors supplement courses with curriculum from Khan Academy, Calvert, and The Walking Classrooms.
Are there any field trips?
We post group field trips to the Meetup calendar regularly, and balance a virtual online experience with a hands-on, Charlotte Mason, real-world approach.
How do online courses work?
Students are expected to complete 30-mins. of schoolwork per subject on a daily basis. They’re expected to attend online & in-person co-op classes on a weekly basis.
Is everything taught online?
No, we have in-person classes that we hold outdoors at local parks and farms.
What's the age range?
The majority of our students are ages 6 to 13 years old, but we provide instruction for K-12, including college prep courses and dual-enrollment for high schoolers. Transcripts, state recognized HS diploma and college credit provided to graduates.
Do you do portfolio reviews?
Yes, we’re registered with the MSDE to supervise home instruction; Approved Maryland Umbrella Group, that provides virtual and annual reviews.
Real World Courses
Courses take place in-person at different locations throughout Howard County and adjacent counties. Students are expected to meet on a weekly basis.
