PLAN THE PATH
HCHC instructors are expected to arrive with a clear road map, including lesson plans and syllabi outlining goals and direction. These don’t need to be rigid, just intentional.

At HCHC, we value a relaxed and welcoming environment. Our classrooms are student-centered and intentionally designed to spark a love of learning.
Teachers are encouraged to guide students through play, exploration, and Socratic discussion, asking thoughtful questions that invite students to think deeply and engage.
Teachers have the freedom to teach the subject matter they know and love. At the same time, all instruction and curriculum must remain secular in nature. We ask that teachers refrain from introducing religious overtones or commentary into classroom instruction.

Have you accepted your TNG invitation? Have you completed your TNG profile? HCHC instructors must input data into Teach N’ Go to track attendance, behavior, and to enter grades at the end of each semester. Watch videos for more details.

STAFF SCREENING
Teachers must provide a background check before interacting with students. Hired staff and parent volunteers charged with overseeing students must be thoroughly vetted.
Submit your own copy of a background report.
REQUIRED: Evidence of teaching certificate, BA, BS, or Master’s Degree and criminal background checks every 3 years is a requirement.
