SPROUT PROGRAM
Students 5-7 years old are introduced to:
- Reading,
- Writing, and
- Arithmetic
A morning activity gets students prepared for learning throughout the day. The schedule is as follows:
- 10:00AM – Greetings
- 10:15AM – Spanish Lesson
- 10:45AM – Snack Time
- 11:00AM – Reading Circle
- 11:30AM – Play & Movement
- 12:00PM – Lunch & Recess
- 1:00PM – Nature Class
It’s a child-led program, focusing on tactile and real world learning, allowing children to learn at their own pace. Lessons are fun and memorable. The program is designed to nurture a love for learning.
LANGUAGE ARTS
Daily routines provide a consistent pattern of activities for learning time, meals, and outdoor play.
WRITING
The daily routine young students experience in the Sprout Program is adapted to meet their needs, support their emerging interests, and nurture the development of their personality and intelligence.
MATH
The predictability of the routine helps students feel secure, and it positively affects their emotional, cognitive, and social development.
NATURE CLASS
Our curriculum is based in routine and weekly lessons designed to use purposeful, outdoor play. With each session, students bolster their communication skills and make sense of the world around them.
