Sprout Program

SPROUTS | AGE 5-8

Learning adventures take place from September through May. Sprouts learn in small groups through creative play, storytelling, movement, nature exploration, and project-based experiences both online and at local community spaces. Students meet once a week.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE
In this beginner-friendly ASL class, Sprouts learn the fundamentals of American Sign Language through interactive games, songs, movement, and conversation. Students begin by learning how to sign their names, colors, numbers, emotions, and everyday phrases used in daily life.

MATH CONCEPTS
We provide predictability that begets routine and stability. The math curriculum covers mastery of basic concepts such as addition, subtraction, and money.

SENSORY PLAY DOUGH
Creating 3D sculptures using play dough is a wonderful sensory and learning experience for students. The squeezing, pinching and pulling movements strengthen hand muscles and develop fine motor skills.
MINDFULNESS
This engaging class helps build resilience, focus, and emotional well-being in a nurturing environment. Through guided movement, breathing exercises, and creative play, children learn tools to regulate their emotions and express themselves in healthy, constructive ways.
NATURE CLASS
Our curriculum is rooted in rhythm, routine, and weekly lessons that invite purposeful learning outdoors. During our spring term, students have the unique opportunity to learn on an organic farm where nature becomes an extension of the classroom.

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS
Sprouts experience Spanish the natural way with a native speaker through playful, age-appropriate activities. This gentle immersion class introduces young learners to basic vocabulary, simple phrases, songs, stories, movement, games, and hands-on projects while helping them build confidence, curiosity, and cultural awareness. o
Sprouts: Hands-On Science Fun
Young minds explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math through playful, hands-on projects. Each week, students dive into exciting experiments and creative builds, from slime, legos and simple circuits.
MASTERING WRITING
We encouraged Sprout students to write in print and to draw as they master the English alphabet. Whether it’s with chalk or pencil, writing letters and words are a main focus of our curriculum. More advanced students focus on building cursive skills.
